Be aware of drug res: How can H pylori be prevented? Wash Hands before eating or cooking food.. Don't eat anything that isn't cooked thoroughly. Avoid food served by people who haven't washed their hands. It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks of treatment to get better. The treatment is roughly 80% effective in getting rid of the infection, but the cure rate depends on medicine u choose.
