GO TO THE ER: Anytime one has a reaction involving breathing or circulation issues, they cannot wait until the next day...Go see your doctor in canada. You need to be evaluated quickly and giving medications. Allergic reactions can lead to shock and system failure, and ultimately, death.

Yes: The medication atenolol which i believe you may be referring to, is a beta-blocker type medication used for treating high blood pressure, etc. Any medication can trigger an allergic reaction and these can be severe. Beta-blocker medications can trigger asthma symptoms in those with or susceptible to asthma.
