Chances are that it: Is an abrasion or laceration that'll heal on it's own, but ask his pediatric dentist or pediatrician to check his mouth. At that age, he's not going to let you get a good look or keep an ice pack on his lip to reduce swelling. Popsicles are good at a time like this.
