Provera (medroxyprogesterone): The question is to why you are on the provera (medroxyprogesterone). This usually means you have some kind of hormone mismatch and it is very common to have irregular cycles if that is the case. My guess is that your cycles are off due to the underlying problem you were being treated for.

No, Not if : Pregnancy test negative. Provera (medroxyprogesterone), (medroxyprogesterone) progesterone, will delay the period, usually with bleeding after. We do this to see if you are making estrogen if you are not having a period. No estrogen from ovaries, no bleeding after Provera (medroxyprogesterone) stopped( if you have gone for months without a period). We also use it to make people have menses when not ovulating but making estrogen.Review with your doc, gd luc.

Probably not: If pregnancy test is negative, then you are not pregnant. Patients typiclaly put on Provera (medroxyprogesterone) to bring on period in women who do not ovulate properly such as pcos. Peroid should start about 2-7 days after stopping provera, (medroxyprogesterone) but not everyone does & it just may take little longer. If still no period, go back to your docr as there are other reasons that may require homrone levels or ultrasound.
