Toxicity.: If the pain medication is taken on an empty stomach, or you exceed the recommended dosage, vomiting is a likely result. Also, if the medication contains a form of codeine, it is possible that your body does not do well with that particular form of it. Take your pain meds with food and get your root canal done asap and remove the need for the meds.

Too much narcotics: Narcotic pain medication is effective at reducing pain. However, most of us have internal regulation that will prevent us from injesting too much. Receptors in your stomach respond and make you vomit if you injest too much too quickly. This is common for many people. Try to alternate with advil (ibuprofen).

Side effects: Some of the pills are causing bad effects. Probably the one that has codeine. Speak with your doctor to change the meds. Make sure you eat well and are hydrated.
