Not unusual: Sometimes after surgery the way that you are walking is different & due to the pull cramps can occur. Be aware that if thid pain continure or gets worse discuss with your doctor.

Cramp: Part of the key here is the cramp at rest. It is possible that it is muscle strain due to splinting or even being dehydrated. Worst case is blood clot and that means you should be evaluated asap
