Thyroid function : The test results you have are thyroid function tests and should be compared to normal values with the lab your doctor sent you to. Be sure to ask your doctor if these levels are within normal levels as it could be a sign of abnormal thyroid function.

Hypothyroid: The TSH is high, and that usually means the thyroid gland is not making enough hormone. The pitutiary gland is making more of a protein [thyroid stimulating hormone (tsh)] to stimulate the thryoid gland to make more of the actual hormone. (t4 and T3 (liothyronine) are the active hormones). This level is mild, but if nobody has explained it to you, it's because you must make an appointment with your doctor.
