3-6 weeks: It depend on the surgery, it self and if you have other thing done with it and how your rehab is going.

Up to you: I usually tell my patients to start walking their knee is strong enough to stand. Most people can walk on their knee right away with some assistance. In general i let my patients be weight-bearing as tolerated on their knees. Crutches can be tossed once your quad is "firing" and your knee is not hyperextending. About 3 weeks.
