A member asked:

Diagnosed w/ impetigo. still breaking out even w/ trtmnt. doc is stumped. could it b something else? 1 other prsn n home has this, just not.as badly

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Impetigo is usually treated with an oral antibiotic (cephalexin or augmentin) plus a topical antibiotic (bactroban (mupirocin) or neosporin). With appropriate treatment should resolve. It is contagious so i would advise the other famfamily member be treated as well. You may need dermatology input if rash continues.
