Possibly: Allergy to shellfish is usually due to allergy to a common allergen. However, people may react differently to various shellfish. Not all shellfish may cause reactions. After 20 years, an initial contact may be tolerated. While calamari may be better tolerated than shrimp and crab, you should see an allergist before trying any shell fish if you had a bad reaction in the past.
