Is calamari a shellfish? also if i wanted to eat fried calamari should i worry about the transfer from the oil that it is cooked in?

Calamari=Squid: Calamari is squid, a mollusk that contains tropomyosin like shellfish, although it doesnt have a hard exterior. If you are allergic to shellfish, you might react to it. If it is cooked in oil that was used to fry any type of fish to which you are allergic, you could react to allergens in the oil. Eating out can be tricky if you have a fish allergy ! always carry Epipen (epinephrine) also.
