No.: Babies cry due to colic pain, believed to be large air pockets moving in intestines. Tends to be felt in the front (abdomen) and not the back. So, even if pain from gas, not usual to be in back. That said, intestines keep moving, so should be a short-lived pain. "anti-gas" type of medicines usually work in stomach. Should be seen by doctor in urgent care to see if kidney infection or muscle spasm.
