Side effects: Progesterone can slow down intestinal motility and can thus increase your chances of interstinal gas production/ retention. I recommend adjusting your diet and limiting dietary ingestion of known gas-producing foods such as cabbage, onions, broccoli, brussel sprouts, wheat, and potatoes. You can also try using simethicone.
