Can be expected: Of corse your retinal specialist should check on your postoperative progress to reassure everything is progressing well. Not uncommonly a cataract can form rather quickly following retinal reattachment surgery by fluid-gas exchange. What you describe makes sense for this to be occurring. There are other possibilities, & your surgeon would need to check on the definitive cause. Good luck.
