No 2 different Tests: Basic anatomy: a pap smear is only about collecting a sample of cells, rubbed off the uterine cervix with a stick, to examine for changes consistent with possible early to advanced cancer & is totally incapable of detecting cysts within the endometrium of the uterus. An endometrial cyst could be detected on us, depending on location, the quality of us & its interpretation. 2 tests for 2 issues.
