What kind of personaility or temperament is best suited to a neonatologist? what kind of training or experience do i need?

Kind and caring: You first need to go to 4 years of medical school, then do 3 years of general pediatric internship and residency, and finally a 3 year fellowship in neonatology. You need to be very kind, caring, and compassionate. Having pretty good hand-eye coordination is a plus because of doing procedures on very tiny babies.

Outstanding: To be calm when everybody panics. To be a team leader. Knowledgeable. Capable. Outstanding.

Calm and confident: Neonatologists have to be able to handle many emergent situations when a baby is sick and should be able to manage the situation calmly and confidently.
