At least 14 years: Neonatologists typically have the following training: - at least 4 years of medical school (after at least of 4 years of undergraduate schooling) at this point, they have their medical degrees and obtain the following training: - 3 years of residency training in pediatrics - 3 years of fellowship (additional, specific training) in newborn intensive care.

Many : You have to go college then take your premedical courses. Go to medical school for 4 years then do pediatrics residency for 3 years and finally 3 years of neonatology residency.
