Ice,stretch,NSAID: I suggest stretching the muscles (look for child pose position online, it's a yoga position that helps open up the lower back muscles), also use ice and heat, 10 min ice, 10 min heat over the area. If your kidney and liver function is normal, you can also use over the counter anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen (advil/motrin) and aleve (naproxen). Natural muscle relaxants are magnesium and serrapeptase.
