Every 7 days: And it's important to follow the directions for taking it carefully to ensure absorption. Other measures are adequate intake of calcium and vitamin d and regular weight bearing exercise.

Every day or 7days: Fosamax (alendronate) is indicated to be taken every day as a 10 mg dose or every 7 days as a 70 mg dose.
