Not necessary...: ... But advised in many situations. Some surgical extractions are quite complicated, and it is best if the patient is sedated so that the surgeon can do his/her treatment without discomfort to the patient.

Not a must: Sedation s for fearful people. Or for people not wanting to hear, or feel the slightest pressure in their mouth. Sedation may help the dentist treat you if you can not sit still.

It is not a must: Iv sedation is not absolutely necessary for the removal of your wisdom teeth, however it can make a potentially unpleasant procedure more comfortable for you. Your surgeon may also be able to perform your surgery faster if you are not aware of the surgery and/or possibly trying to ask questions during the procedure.
