A member asked:

I have a grain of sand stuck in my eye. what is a safe way to get it out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Irrigation : Use an eye wash that you can purchase over the counter and rinse the affected eye. This may loosen it and eliminate it without difficulty. However if a foreign sensation persists, you may have to have it removed. Sand contains many possible substances, such as metallic particles that can become more irritating of they remain. See an eye md if not better with irrigation.
