A member asked:

What advice do you have for parents with kids who have cerebral palsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Love them dearly: Cerebral palsy is a static dysfunction of motor abilities. It can affect just one half of the body, just lower body, or can affect entire body. It can be associated with epilepsy and with mental retardation, but can occur with no other complication. Most children learn to lead near normal lives but need special therapy and equipment. Excellent services are available through schools.
