Lack of focus: Recommend evaluation by a mental health specialist for possible underlying attention deficit versus mood disorder. Also medical workup to rule out physical factors.

Sleep deprivation: Generally 4.5 hours of sleep per night is not enough for most people and will predictably create some irritability, problems with concentration and recall, and fatigue. Of course this begs the question of why one would be getting such little sleep - medications, drugs, a mood disorder or medical condition. If sleeping more doesnt help it woudl be generally wise to get medical consultation.
