Is there a way to test for anklosing spondilitis without doing bloodwork? or can finger prick provide enough blood, i suffer severe fear of needles

Yes...: A thorough physical exam including x-rays, individual medical history, and a family history of as, as well as blood work including a test for hla-b27 are factors in making a diagnosis. The blood work is probably the least important in making the diagnosis. Your clinical history and imaging will be the most important. If blood work (hla-b27) is needed, more than a finger prick will be needed.

CBT: Seek a cognitive-behavioral therapist who specializes in phobias. One method they use is systematic desensitization which slowly and incrementally brings the person closer and closer to the thing they are afraid of in slow, graduated steps that help make the anxiety more tolerable.
