A member asked:

Is it possible to have emotional-pain withdraws? from, say, a trauma of some sort?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Psychological pain: The pain attached to emotional issues is very similar to post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd). It becomes difficult to detach from the painful/stressful inciting incident. The use of medications and psychotherapy are the mainstays of treatment.
