Possible: There is sufficient evidence now that stress can play a role in the activation of certain cells/chemicals in the body that could stimulate the immune system. There is a normal amount of the stress the body/brain can go through. Too much stress could play a role in not just autoimmune diseases but other illnesses. I am unaware however of define evidence connecting CIDP to emotional trauma.
