How long for libido to return after stopping celexa (citalopram)?

A few weeks: I'm assuming that you stopped Celexa (citalopram) with your doctor's approval and that you're no longer depressed or anxious. Low libido can be part of depression. Otherwise it could take a few weeks before libido returns.

Celexa (citalopram) & libido: Celexa (citalopram) has a long (35 hours) half-life -- so it will still be in your system for just over a week once stopped. I hope you've been working with your doctor to taper this medication, and not stopping it suddenly. Sexual functioning may take a few weeks to normalize. If your libido was low because of depression and you're still depressed though, it may still lag. Other treatments possible, if needed.

2 to 4 weeks: Most anti-depressants are out of your system in two weeks, however there is a hormnal and psychological component to the return of libido as well which may take more time.
