Eyelid skin: The skin of the eyelids is among the thinnest and most sensitive in the body. A person can be affected by allergy only in the eyelid, not affecting other skin areas. It is important to avoid drying the skin by using harsh soaps and shampoos around the eyes. Be aware that the eyelid skin may be sensitive to cosmetics not affecting other areas, and avoid those. Get an exam to rule out blepharitis.
