New Meniscus: A new cadaver meniscus is implanted to replace the one that is deficient. There are several ways this is done. You then are given restrictions with weight bearing and range of motion to allow time for the new meniscus to heal.

Donor meniscus.: The remnants of any old meniscal tissue is removed, and a donor meniscus is transplanted in. It is then anchored into the tibia bone.
