Yes: Severe pain at 7 days is not normal. See your oral surgeon asap for evaluation and follow-up treatment. You might be having a dry socket on the lower ones, and this is easily and comfortably treated. Call the after hours number and speak with your surgeon. Severe pain not norm: Having pain and discomfort at a severe level one week out is abnormal. You may have a "dry socket", could have food stuck in the socket or a piece of bone or tooth root as well. Your best option is go back to the doctor and let them take a look. It might be an easy fix and you will feel much better.
