Yes: Severe pain at 7 days is not normal. See your oral surgeon asap for evaluation and follow-up treatment. You might be having a dry socket on the lower ones, and this is easily and comfortably treated. Call the after hours number and speak with your surgeon. There are also plenty of hospitals in the philly area with oral surgery residents on staff for after hours emergencies.

Severe pain not norm: Having pain and discomfort at a severe level one week out is abnormal. You may have a "dry socket", could have food stuck in the socket or a piece of bone or tooth root as well. Your best option is go back to the doctor and let them take a look. It might be an easy fix and you will feel much better.
