Can someone with diabetes live for months with insulin but without food?

Probably not: Even persons without diabetes need food to survive for many months. Even when persons with insulin-dependent diabetes (whether type 1 or type 2) are not eating it is still important that they take some Insulin to prevent their body from going into ketoacidosis. However prolonged starvation is not good for anyone.
