Likely an infection: This sounds like a corneal ulcer. That is a serious eye infection. See an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.

Corneal ulcer: You probably wear soft contact lenses and sleep in them. That white spot is white blood cells fighting an infection at the site of the corneal ulcer. You should be seen by an eyecare specialist immediately.
