Let me explain: Did your family doctor do all test and examination to find out if it is fine? This includes x-ray, mri, blood test, if he did? I would ask if he could send you for a consult to see bone (orthopedic surgeon)?

You need testing: At least an xray to rule out pathology plus exam to assess for tendon or ligament sprain vs instability.
