Does the current flu vaccine protect you against the stomach flu?

Different germ: Although some flu victims will occasionally vomit. The "stomach flu" generally refers to the enterovirus family of viruses that have nothing in common with the flu virus strains. It's similar to the difference between a monkey & a horse. They are both hair covered mammals, but not related.

No: The flu vaccine protects against influenza, a respiratory virus which causes high fevers, cough, etc. The 'stomach flu' is also called gasteroenteritis. It is also caused by viruses, just different ones than influenza.
