No problem: Propranolol is a beta-blocker commonly used for "stage fright" and performance anxiety as well as high blood pressure. It should not cause any problems for your diabetes. On occasion, can cause issues in diabetes, so work closely with your doc.

Not recommended: Propranolol can cause hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetics, and may also mask autonomic signs (such as pulse changes) that would otherwise let you know to check your glucose level. It's not absolutely contraindicated if monitored closely, but there may be safer alternatives. Talk to your doctor about this.
