Probably normal: Although i obviously can't actually see your tongue and know for sure, it does sound like it's the normal anatomy of a tongue. See the attached photo and if you want to be sure, ask your dentist to take a look. Besides, it's a good idea to get routine soft tissue cancer screenings of all the structures in and around your mouth at every dental check-up.

Probably normal: There are, however, a multiplicity of anatomic variations and problems that can affect the tongue. This is not a question that can be answered in a computer forum. Go see your physician or dentist and ask them to take a look.
