Cartilage tear: The pinky side of the wrist, also known as the ulnar wrist, commonly develops tears in a cartilage disc known by the acronym tfcc. Most of these small cartilage tears will heal themselves over 4-8 weeks, some may need steroid injections or even surgery. If rest, nsaids, occasional splinting doesn't resolve the pain in a timely fashion then evaluation by a orthopedic or hand surgeon is warrante.
