What exacting is avascular necrosis? i have it in my legs, knees.

Lack of blood supply: Avascular necrosis occurs when blood supply to an area of bone is cut off, for example your knee. Blood carries oxygen & nutrients to all parts of your body, including bone. Without blood supply that part of the bone "dies". This is a serious condition especially if it affects the femoral area of the hip.
