Not likely!: There are no associated reports of this linkage. Both are not uncommon and coincidently may occur together. Avascular necrosis is a severe form of arthritis of the hip caused by disruption of the blood supply to the cartilage on top of the hip. Ultimately leading to hip replacement. Stop gap procedures are in my opinion, ineffectual.

See below: I agree with the previous answers but it is possible for these bites to cause vascular disease which, theoretically could cause damage to the vessels leading to the hip - although, again, this is unlikely. I believe the avascular necrosis was likely coincidental.
