You got older: Dry eye increases in frequency as people age. There are very good treatments for dry eye syndrome. See your ophthalmologist.

Dry eye: Dry eye is common and can be an issue after laser eye surgery. It is hard to say why it has returned but it needs treatment. Try frequent nonpreservative artificial tears, ointment at night, omega-3 fatty acid supplements, and warm compresses. You likely will need to consider bilateral punctal plugs, restasis, and possibly a low dose topical steroid. See a cornea specialist.
