You are correct: You are correct in suspecting a link. It is important for you to see both a rheumatologist and a dermatologist as an accurate skin DX (derm) and a thorough arthritis (rheum) work-up are critical for treatment. Possibilities: psoriatic arthritis, dermatomyositis, or a skin condition with an unrelated arthritis. Treatments vary greatly based on the diagnosis(es).
