Cold: it is better not to give your child any medications. Try suctioning the nose, elevation of head of the bed and run a humidifier.

No: Too young for over the counter meds. You can elevate the bed, suction the nose with bulb suction, spray saline into the nose, encourage lots of clear fluids by mouth. Patience, and the patient will improve.
