Probable connection: There has been conflicting research on smoking & acne- some studies have found a connection & others haven't. Stress can definitely worsen all health problems, including acne, so hard to separate the effects of stress & smoking. There are far more effective ways to reduce stress & smoking causes much more serious problems than acne. See comment for ideas on reducing stress & stopping smoking.

QUIT!!!: Smoking causes tragic , horrible things, but acne is not one of them. Quit. See your md. It must be costing you $5000 a year: spend that on whatever it takes to quit. At least get smokeless cigarettes. Acne is not caused by stress, either. For severe acne see a dermatologist.
