Timnitis: It does not seem to be the case. Either serous otitis not resolved completely or some other pathology. See a ENT specialist.

It can vary: It can take months sometimes, or maybe more, there is a great deal of individual variation. Avoiding stimulants like coffee, cigarettes, can help and some medications can also increase the tinnitus. If it is very bothersome it may be wise to discuss this with your doctor.

30 ? : There are some children who will never have an ear infection. Some will have a whole bunch. The exact incidence is not important. By age 2, you'll know what the story is. Being around smokers, being in daycare, having allergies, will all predispose to ear infections. The more exposure to irritants and viruses, the more likely. Good nutrition, treating allergies, avoiding smoke exposure, helps.

There are some things that would confirm your suspicion of an ear infection. The first is active pus draining from the ear. In addition, when there are symptoms of pain or fever, if there is hearing loss. The definitive test, though, is to look in the ear canal and see the ear drum.

Ear infections in children are usually external (swimmers ear) or middle ear infections. Swimmers ear can often be seen as a swollen canal and the ear is painful to touch. Middle ear infections often begin as an ear ache and may be associated with a cold or upper respiratory infection. If the ear drum ruptures there is usually relief from the pain and drainage from the ear.

Doctor can evaluate: Extreme fatigue by itself is not normal and needs an evaluation. A primary care doctor can look for causes such as anemia, cancer, infections, hormonal imbalances, etc... Significant anemia (not enough blood) or thyroid hormone problems are two of the many possible causes. One can write down a list of symptoms, with a brief description of each, to take to the doctor.
