A member asked:

Recently i got told i had otitis media with effusion and ringing started in my left ear, does this ringing go away when the fluid drains out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually yes: Otitis media is an ear infection. In bacterial ear infections, it can take a month for the fluid in the ear to completely resolve. The fluid may be causing the ringing. If the ringing does not go away, you should be re-evaluated.
