Color changes can b: Circulationor an abnormal response to cold, as wellas nerve irritation that is associated at times with poor circualtory regulaiton and temperature changes. Other issues can be inflammatory or metabolic or endocrine ( such as diabetes or thyroid) a good general exam and bloodwork by your pcp should be the next step , gray and numb is not normal so best get it looked at.
