A member asked:

What are the causes and symptoms of thick bones? is there any link between muscles and thick bones?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many causes: Thicker bones are preferred to thinner bones, like those in people with osteoporosis. Thinner bones are more vulnerable to fractures. Exercise and a proper diet including vitamin d and calcium contribute to bone health. When bones are too thick, the central medullary canal where red blood cells are formed is smaller and can cause anemia. This can be caused by genetic conditions like osteopetrosis.
