Many side effects: In youth the side effects of Provera (medroxyprogesterone) are many but generally not serious. In the menopause they are legion and serious. Most importantly it increases the breast cancer risk by approx 25% and poses significant increased cardiovascular risks when combined with any estrogen. Postmenopause; use anything else.
