Try OTC pain pills: Start with over the counter meds like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen. Heat or cold may help. If simple things fail or pain is more severe, see your pcp or a hand specialist.

Triggering?: That is a common site of pain for trigger finger. If your finger is "catching" or getting stuck in a bent position, you should see a hand surgeon who can determine if you would benefit from an injection or possibly surgery.
