Mostly Yes!: Depends on the method used. With the blade microkeratome lasik surgery, the regeneration of the nerves is much more delayed and virtually never complete. With the femtosecond laser like intralase, the recovery is virtually near complete.

May be months: Research has shown that it may take 6-9 months for nerves to reconnect, with any lasik flap. Prk or epilasik do not cut through these nerves.
